Auntie Ineke Shacklock wanted to spend some quiet time in Norway after the Veirdaagse and Joanna’s wedding in London. She thought she deserved some time away from the family. Everybody does from time to time. And then Veronica got to hear about it. And then Cathy, and she suggested that Holly tagged along as well. There’s no escaping de family. Oh, and then Ben turned up towards the end but theres no pictures of him . Click on any of the pictures to see larger versions.

Quoted from Eastern Daily Press, Monday October 8th, 2001 Written by Stephen Pullinger.
“As you talk to Frank Buykx, 60, and his wife Carol, 63, it is clear they are no Mr and Mrs Average. The couple, who live in Boat Dyke Road, Upton, near Acle, love to recount how they met more than 30 years ago in Basle, Switzerland. Frank was hitch-hiking around Europe while Carol, a former international swimmer, was enroute from England to Egypt - on her bike.
And solo adventures have been part of their married life too. Two years ago, Carol travelled around China, off the tourist trail on her own.

News from Lucy (print post)
By Lucy Buykx on 08 September 2001No Comments Yet
I joined my father for a brief week in Nevada on my long journey home from South East Asia. I flew into Salt Lake City on 26th August. He and Ed drive back from Ely in Nevada to pick me up, and we spent a morning exploring Temple Square - the home of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints commonly known as the Mormons. The city is currently gearing up for the Winter Olympics in 2002 bringing to the fore, the Church which is inextricably intertwined with everyday life and law.
