  I dont know what you guys have done with the internet in Australia but I cannot get email delivered!

  Robert wrote to me a couple of weeks ago and I replied twice, both times delivery failed. I also replied to a Pete Sh work email - that returned an invalid address! Its happened before trying to deliver to ozmail addresses but to colesmyer? Something wierd is happening, are you trying to quarantine yourselves from English emails or is it MI5 snooping and making a hash of things?
  Anyway, I need to say I have not ignored you guys and I will try to email again in due course. Will someone plug the connecting cable in again please!

  Google maps has provided a hazy but recognisable satellite image of the EB family homestead. If you look closely you can see the picture was taken between 2002 to 2003. The new vegetable garden is extended out the back, but still quite brown; and there are two morris minors in front of the garage. I dont know exactly when they were sold, perhaps one of my siblings or parents can recall and update.

  I booked myself a weekend in Norfolk to visit my folks and then suddenly everyone wanted to come. We had a marvellous few days with cousin Peter, Regina and Nick. Far too much was eaten, only a little less was drunk, including the mandatory trip to the Pink Pony. Theres some pics that I havent loaded yet - probably update this blog later this evening.Pete and Reg are absolute stars. Before they left Melbourne they visited with Ineke and picked up 4 of our bottles of wine, packed them in suitcases and brought them over for us. What fabulous people! The bottles have been laid down to rest for a couple of years, with large “hands off” labels! I think we’ll be alright, if you know my parents home, you know that things can be safely lost for decades let alone years ;-)

  P.S. if anyone else is coming over to UK from Melbourne or vicinity, theres another 6 bottles ready for export- think of it as guaranteeing more space in your baggage on the way back ;-)

  Down for a weekend in Upton with a cousin visiting. Everyone was outside in the vegetable garden picking dinner.

  Then there was dinner to be had … I think they enjoyed it ;-D

  Buykx goodbyes go on for a while. Especially when a pub is discovered with an outside-in-the-sun terrace.

  So Anthony got some beers in..
  

  And we enjoyed them

  

  And then Lucy got some beers in…

  

  And we enjoyed them..

  Then Anthony got some more…

  

  And all the boys took their clothes off and enjoyed the sun

  And we had to drink some more..

  And then we gradually had to leave and catch trains and buses and planes…or not as the case may be ;-p

  The day after Joanna and Stefs wedding there were a few hangovers. As we gathered our belongings and checked out of the hostel the sun was out and it was set for a record Buykx-goodbye.

  “As you talk to Frank Buykx, 60, and his wife Carol, 63, it is clear they are no Mr and Mrs Average. The couple, who live in Boat Dyke Road, Upton, near Acle, love to recount how they met more than 30 years ago in Basle, Switzerland. Frank was hitch-hiking around Europe while Carol, a former international swimmer, was enroute from England to Egypt - on her bike.

  And solo adventures have been part of their married life too. Two years ago, Carol travelled around China, off the tourist trail on her own.
