It was a lovely wedding, held in the garden of an old country style house,
with the sun shining through the flowers and trees. They wrote their own vows.
Why take off the shelf speeches if you can say what it is your really want and
mean? The honesty touched everyone if the number of hankies is anything to go
by.
After the wedding we mingled on the front gardens while the official photos
were being taken. I think that Pete’s family was somewhat more over represented
than Kate’s, or perhaps we were just louder. There is a cousins photo - I counted
15 direct cousins, and several cousins-in-law. Someone has the same photo but
with Pete and Kate in front making 16 directs all together.
The table seating was quite deliberate � the younger generation were at the
back, furthest from top table, but fortunately right next to the bar. Its not
often that I praise mass catering, but the meal was interesting and tasty ;-D
and we finished off with chocolate mud wedding cake ! wow !
